Francis McKinney - Maple Gardens & Visitation

Francis grew up in a pastor’s home in Kansas, Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle and graduated from High School in Booker, TX. He attended Friends Bible College (now Barclay College) in Haviland, KS where he met Bulah Ferguson. Following his graduation with a Bachelor of Religion degree, they were married in 1951. They have three adult children, Lynette Mease of Union, WA, Mike McKinney of Wichita, and Randy McKinney of Denver, CO. They have 10 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Francis served for 47 years as a pastor of Friends Churches in Kansas and Oklahoma. He joined the staff of Northridge in 1998 on a part-time basis. He conducts a service each Sunday at Maple Gardens Village, a retirement center in west Wichita. He also does visitation to those who are hospitalized or homebound, and ministers to senior adults at Northridge.

Francis says, “I am grateful for the opportunity for ministry at Northridge. It is a privilege to minister God’s love to those in need. It is a joy to be a part of the Northridge family.”
